Sintang, Indonesia – On July 22, 2022, the Montfortans who were gathered at the Montfort Mission House, Sintang celebrated the 25th anniversary of the priesthood of Fr. Yohanes Sumadi, SMM and Fr. Stefanus Seli, SMM for the 25th year. This celebration is held in the celebration of the Eucharist. This quite festive celebration was attended by many faithful from the St. Joseph and the people around Sintang. In addition, the Vik General of Sintang Diocese and other Sintang Diocese priests were also present.
Eucharistic celebrations were held in the new Montfort Mission House Hall. The support of the people is not only visible from their presence but also from their participation as liturdi and dance officers. The choir was presented by colleagues from STKIP, dances from Catholic Youth of Lanjing Parish. Preparations were made by the people around the Mission House and the loyal Montfortan acquaintances helped.
In the homily, Father Provincial stated that the priesthood's 25th anniversary shows their closeness to God personally, not functionally. Thus it also recalls God's role in their priestly life.
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a festive dinner together. Mini dinners are provided by the faithful and in particular by the environment around the Montfort Mission House which has often supported the Montfortans in the Mission House.
