Malang – SMM Indonesia's Phase I Chapter Meeting journey entered its third day today. The Eucharistic celebration was presented by Father Rafael Lepen, SMM and accompanied by Father Kosmas Ambo Patan, SMM. In his reflections, Father Kosmas invited the confreres to remember God as the divine Healer. As Priests, we are used by God to always pray and serve others who are sick. This is in harmony with the commitment to always be available in the duty of ministering the sacrament of the sick. By doing this, we become an extension of God's hand to His people.
Today's meeting was held with the agenda of reading the Indonesian provincial statutes. By reading these statutes, it is hoped that the chapter participants will see, reflect on and evaluate the journey of Indonesian Montfortans so far. In the process, the Kapitulans are invited to enter into deeper silence and share the results of their reflections with one another.
At the next point, the facilitator invites entry to the next topic regarding Old Age Funds and family participation in initial formation. Here, chapter participants are invited to see the financial need for the health and care of sick and elderly montfortians. Whereas in family participation, chapter participants are asked for suggestions and input regarding the family's readiness for the initial coaching process.
