West Kalimantan<\/strong> On November 23, 2023, the Montfort Missionaries (SMM) in Indonesia again increased the number of its priest members, namely Father Dominikus Siong, SMM who was ordained a priest in the Sintang Diocese along with 3 priests from the Sintang diocese. Before Fr Siong was ordained, three Montfortians were Pastor Siong's friends, namely Fr. Daniel Dagur, SMM Fr. Agustinus Asman, SMM, and Fr. Hyronimus Ario. SMM in Ruteng diocese on October 16, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father Dominikus Siong, SMM comes from the Dayak Barai tribe, Sintang, West Kalimantan. He is from a farming family and is from seven siblings and he is the third Montfortian priest from West Kalimantan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Siong's ordination began with a parade from the Emmaus retreat house. Dozens of cars accompanied the arrival of the priest candidates and all the priests who were undergoing ordination took part in this parade. After arriving at the congregation's place near the church, the priests put on stoles and chasubles to begin the ordination celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eucharistic ordination and ordination were led by Msgr. Samuel Oton Sidin, OFM Cap, accompanied by Father Antonius Tensi, SMM, Provincial of SMM Indonesia, and Father Gusti. The Eucharistic celebration was attended by priests of the dioceses of Sintang, Montfortians, and other priests and dioceses. Apart from that, this celebration was also attended by the monks and all the parishioners and guests. The celebration ended with a meal provided by the committee and accompanied by entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
